MIS

Minimally invasive surgery is an alternative to traditional open surgery. (MIS) is done through small "keyhole" incisions through the assistance of miniaturized surgical tools and cameras or telescopes. It is also known as Laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic surgery or minimal access surgery.

In recent years, MIS has increasingly gain popularity as the public perceive it as a safe and acceptable alternative to the conventional surgery. At Parkway Health, our surgeons have the experience, expertise and specialized training in performing many conventional or minimally invasive surgery. MIS surgery usually results in less pain, less scarring, shorter hospital stay and a quicker recovery time. The main advantages are the low wound infection and faster recovery which translates to earlier return to normal activities.

MIS Centre

The MIS Centre was established to ensure the continuity in MIS skills and the development of new laparoscopic techniques. Regular training programs and workshops are conducted to update our surgeons. It prides itself in providing the best and most advanced technology, facility and highly skilled professionals to deliver the best quality patient care.
